Challenges!

Hello everyone! I hope you have all had a wonderful week in self isolation.

This week has been a difficult one full of challenges, disappointments, and hardships, but we have endured!

It has reminded me that although things do not always work out how I want it to, that God has a bigger, greater plan for all of us. Sometimes we need to step back and ask ourselves what God wants us to learn from this.

Another thing that has been weighing on my mind is doing my best to always remember Jesus Christ. When we are baptized we take upon us his name. We become representatives of Christ. But what does it mean to always remember him? And how can we do that better in our lives? I know that one way we can better remember Christ is to study his word and the words of his prophets in our day and in the scriptures. We can remember him by always praying in his name and doing what he would do. This week I would invite you all to ponder and consider what it is you do to remember Jesus Christ every day!

I love you all. Stay happy, hopeful, and healthy! Goodbye until next week

Easter

Hello everyone! It's been another wonderful week here in Northern Virginia!

Recently, the number of friends we have had join for sabbath day worship services in out mission has skyrocketed, and our mission President wanted to keep those numbers high. We were encouraged to set our goals high and get all of our friends to participate in an Easter Sunday service this week!

My companion and I worked diligently, inviting all of our friends to take part in a wonder Easter Sunday service with many of our ward members. It took a lot of calling and texting and planning, but we were able to get 13 of our friends to join one of these services!

Because of this goal, we had many Easter Sunday services throughout the day, giving us the opportunity to focus so much of our time on Jesus Christ this Easter.

Although I was away from home, this one of the greatest Easters I have had. As a missionary, I get the opportunity to talk about Jesus Christ and his gospel all the time, but as I took the time to reflect on his sacrifice, I found more meaning in my Easter.

Jesus Christ is the son of God. He came to this earth and he worked many wonderful miracles. Most importantly, Christ atoned for our sins, making it possible for us to be cleansed on our sins as we repent. His atonement provides me with comfort, I know someone understands every hardship I have experienced. I know I am never alone. Jesus Christ rose from the dead, because he was resurrected, we will be as well. His sacrifice makes it possible for all of us to live with our families again in the next life. "And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives" (D&C 76:22)

I love you all!

Hello everyone! It's been another week in quarantine here in Lincolnia!

We have been up to our regular missionary activities, despite the pandemic. Calling, texting, and doing video call lessons with all of our friends! The world has basically come to a grinding hault,  but the lord's work is HASTENING!

We also had the amazing opportunity to hear the words of the Prophet and Apostles this weekend at General Conference! Wasn't that amazing! All weekend I felt so empowered and inspired. I can't wait to read all the amazing talks again and continue to learn and apply their teachings so I can be prepared to receive more instruction is 6 months!

Its important to remember during these difficult times that God is at the helm. He is in control and he has a plan for all of us. As we draw nearer to our Savior, Jesus Christ, we can find peace and joy in our trials! Keep doing all you can to grow closer to him, just as I am.

I love you all. I'm so grateful for all the prayers and support I feel from home. Keep praying for missionary opportunities and the chance to share the joy you feel from living the gospel will come!!
